Baraki

Baraki

Today, I’m doing a quick article to share with you a series that I just watched because it’s a real nice discovery. It’s a very funny series with small episodes of 20 minutes. It’s very quick to watch.

BARAKI

Baraki is the shameless Belgian way. It’s “la merditude des choses” which makes a baby with Benoit Poelvoorde and François l’embrouille. It’s pure Belgianness.

In this series, we follow a Belgian family from Marsous, a small town in the kingdom of Belgium. We won’t lie to ourselves, they are a little bit of rednecks and they have a lot of problems. We find masked vigilantes, love stories, drug trafficking and of course, French fries! From the grandmother and her slippers to the big brother and his mullet, they are all crazy and endearing in this family. And I’m not even talking about the rest of the town’s inhabitants… The whole thing is told to us by a Belgian who is somewhere between a cowboy and a crocodile dundee. The icing on the cake is this magnificent sentence at the end of the series, “Life is like a hot sausage, do not let it cool! It is current, funny, disturbing and absurd. In short, it’s the series version of Dikkenek and it’s a treat! Personally, I gave it 7/10.

For those who would not have the chance to know Dikkeneck, I will soon make you a little catch up. Have fun with Baraki and don’t hesitate to have a look at our recipes to accompany your show.

See you soon and don’t forget to like and subscribe.
